Hi Raj

I am sorry for not replying earlier. Anyway, back to your problem. Firstly, you only need to insert the sound clip once (on the first slide). Then select “SlideShow” from the top menu, next choose “Custom Animation”. This will open options on the right hand side of the window. One of the items displayed will be the sound clip. Select the sound clip – once selected – an arrow pointing down will appear next to the sound clip. Press the arrow to open up the menu. Choose “Effect Options”. Set up the starting point and how long you want to play the sound e.g. 10 slides.

You will also find these instructions with images on the Power Point Handout from the course. Good Luck.

Yeah, didn't expect you to be either. Glad though … just that I had this Pink Floyd album that I wanted to play whilst I was doing my p'point presentation on management challenging behaviour/ mental health clients with LD. I tried to do it all last night this audio stuff but everytime a new slide came on the album started all over again …! Was a bit frustrating and I finally gave up 1/2 past midnight last night.

So if I could somehow sort this out would be most pleased for future presentations. So any suggestions are most appreciated. Many thanks. Raj

Hi Gosia … bet you never expected this. Already I've run into trouble. I wanted to play a whole CD whilst doing a powerpoint presentation (like how you taught us to put the audio input on the master slide). But the problem was that everytime a new slide started the track no.1 started again… meaning it never got to the end to the album …!!! Pls advice if there is a way round this. Aaaaargh …. Many thanks. Raj

Dear all,

Our last Mappers’ meeting was not well attended at all. Do you find Mappers group useful? What would you like to see happening in the future?

When would be a good time for most people to meet? Please let us know by replying to this message. I am looking forward to your replies.

Hi everyone, we are looking into the possibility of using a digital photo frame to support a client who finds it difficult to remember her morning routine. (take tablets, wash dishes etc.) and had hoped to use something like photostory or just a selection of photos, ideally with audio as this would reinforce each image to remind her of what she needs to do. Has anyone done this? Does it work at all? Or does anyone have any other ideas - we are trying to get away from staff going into the flat every 5 minutes to support her in jobs that she is able to do herself.
